Add PADs payment method to Stripe

TaxDome offers all the standard methods for clients to pay—credit/debit card, electronic check, and even cash (if a client prefers paying in person). Here, we show you how to set up pre-authorized debit payments ( PADs ), which allows your clients from Canada to send payments to your Stripe account from TaxDome.

PAD

Pre-authorized debit payments (PADs), available for Canadian firms only, allow your clients pay using their bank account details. They must accept a mandate and authorize you to debit their account. The transaction takes up to 5 business days as PADs is a delayed notification payment method. Maximum single payment amount: CAD 3000. Here’s more on Stripe processing fees for PADs payments .

Setting this payment method up begins from the Stripe Dashboard .

Passaggio 2. Impostazione Stripe SU TaxDome

• You’ve connected your Stripe account to TaxDome. Here’s how to connect Stripe .

• Your default payment provider is Stripe. Go to Settings > Integrations from the left menu bar. Here’s how to select a default provider .

• Either Bank Debits or Credit Card or Bank Debits payment method is selected in the Payments tab. This can be done only by a firm owner or admin .

  

  Selezionandoli entrambi, potrai specificare il metodo di pagamento preferito per ciascuna fattura che emetti o lasciare che sia il cliente a sceglierlo.

  

Cosa vede il cliente?

Once you have enabled PADs direct debit payment, your clients will see this option in their payment window. To make a payment, the client needs to enter their bank account details. After a client clicks Pay, Stripe sends the information to the bank and waits for approval. The payment status remains In progress until it goes through. (Here’s more on statuses ).
